Oui Sports - Winter Edition

Sports are a great way to warm up on a cold day, but sadly all the outdoor sports Ben was ready to teach... Well none of them play so well in a foot plus of snow. And that foot plus was after getting help from those with magic who could melt some of it down for them. And when Mal was asked about winter sports on the Isle the answer was "It's more like... gang activity, than sports. And if someone broke their leg, we kinda laughed, so... Not really applicable here."

So they instead asked the Missrecalled to show off games and sports that can be played in deep snow. But the best games need more than one person, so maybe you need to find someone to play with?

Happy Little Cleaning Song

After so long with so many people all cramped into the school for so long that there was more than a little bit of mess. They could use a hand clearing everything up. Whistling while you work and a spoonful of sugar were both advised. But cleaning was always a better task with a buddy! And Team Work Makes The Dream Work, right?


The Isle

Gang Activities

What had once been a dank and dreary school in a mausoleum was now an icy dreary one. The ground outside was a mix of ice, muddy slush, and rocks. Neither fun nor pretty. But it was probably safer outside than in, and easier to be active dodging doomstones than skidding down the halls into broken lockers. But it was still frigid out. Perhaps some activity would help warm you up. But what? And whom with? Snowball fights might be a little extra dangerous, with all the muck mixed in and no place to go warm up. But maybe someone might be up for it anyway? Or stealing a doomstone to sled down the roof? What are you gonna do to stay warm?


Got No Chill?

Someone decided that there needed to be a fire to warm people up. Maybe that would have been a good idea, if the person who had started the fire had anything clue about fire safety. They - or maybe you! - had started the fire in one of the classrooms using broken desks for kindling. But the fire quickly spread to the other desks in the room and with so much paper detritus in the halls! Stop the fire, warn people, run away! Pick you poison but do it fast, the way this fire's spreading, this school might not last!

Aqua came in from her meditation, stretching. Time to get to work for the day.

As though she hadn't done her own work out and then held a class before meditation, but that clearly didn't count here. Training was training, chores were different.

She took one of the stacks of items he set aside and started sorting through them. She didn't know the song he was singing but was able to follow the melody enough to hum along.

Iroh continued for a little longer, the song not being too terribly long. Knowing only a few of the versus, he omitted those that might not have been entirely appropriate for his current company as well.

"I hope that you don't mind. I find that song can help to lift the heart and body, which in turn makes lifting all of this much more tolerable."

He did wonder how they ever allowed such a mess to occur in the first place.

"Thank you for your help, putting things where they belong can sometime help us to remember our own place."

She gave him a very warm smile. "I never mind. Song is a way of lifting and easing the heart. And you are very right, it helps with difficult tasks as well. Are you new here?"

Iroh returned the smile, it was truly pleasant to be able to connect over simple things like music and song, the doors that it could open even between those from different worlds.

"I am, though I hope that I don't seem too out of place."

She gave him a warm smile. "Not at all. I just know most of the people here already. Thank you for helping out. Have you been given the welcome tour yet?"

"It is much easier to get what is needed done when many hands are helping. I am glad to be able to offer my assistance."

She was a very nice girl, and it seemed she was a bit more familiar with the grounds than Iroh was just yet.

"I have not, but then there were a great deal of things left to be done."

"Well, when you are ready for a break I can help with that. I can also get you a room, and then perhaps we could share a meal while I answer any questions you might still have at that point."

"That would be much appreciated, being able to find my way around will be very helpful for when someone asks me to go somewhere specific."

And with the two of them working it wouldn't take long for them to get the work done and reach that pint to where the tour could begin.

"May I ask you name?"

"Ah, my apologies." She turned to face him fully, stepping back enough to give herself room. She held out her hand and her Keyblade appeared in it in a flashy display of light and sparkles. She then folded her arm so that the hand holding the Keyblade was just above her heart, and she bowed. She stood gracefully, sweeping the Keyblade to one side. "I am Master Aqua, a pleasure to meet you."

Apologies, the notification never reached my email.

"Aqua, what a refreshing and pretty name. I am Iroh."

He marveled a bit at the weapon that had formed in front of her, though he returned the bow to show the respect that might be due one with the title of master. She seemed quite young, but he didn't doubt her ability in the least.

"It is an honor meet you."

It happens, no worries. :D

"And an honor to meet you as well, Iroh." she vanished her Keyblade. "If it helps any, I can generally be found giving lessons in the morning. I think seeing how someone teaches is one of the best ways to get to know who they are."

[truehumili_tea]

"You are very wise. The knowledge that one has to pass on can show you the lessons that they have learned, and provide a clear understanding of the path they have been on. And it is very kid of you to invite me to witness you impart what you know to others."

He was quite curious as to what lessons it was that she would be teaching though.

She smiled warmly. "I look forward to seeing you there, then. For now, however, shall we get you settled in?"
