Oui Sports - Winter Edition

Sports are a great way to warm up on a cold day, but sadly all the outdoor sports Ben was ready to teach... Well none of them play so well in a foot plus of snow. And that foot plus was after getting help from those with magic who could melt some of it down for them. And when Mal was asked about winter sports on the Isle the answer was "It's more like... gang activity, than sports. And if someone broke their leg, we kinda laughed, so... Not really applicable here."

So they instead asked the Missrecalled to show off games and sports that can be played in deep snow. But the best games need more than one person, so maybe you need to find someone to play with?

Happy Little Cleaning Song

After so long with so many people all cramped into the school for so long that there was more than a little bit of mess. They could use a hand clearing everything up. Whistling while you work and a spoonful of sugar were both advised. But cleaning was always a better task with a buddy! And Team Work Makes The Dream Work, right?


The Isle

Gang Activities

What had once been a dank and dreary school in a mausoleum was now an icy dreary one. The ground outside was a mix of ice, muddy slush, and rocks. Neither fun nor pretty. But it was probably safer outside than in, and easier to be active dodging doomstones than skidding down the halls into broken lockers. But it was still frigid out. Perhaps some activity would help warm you up. But what? And whom with? Snowball fights might be a little extra dangerous, with all the muck mixed in and no place to go warm up. But maybe someone might be up for it anyway? Or stealing a doomstone to sled down the roof? What are you gonna do to stay warm?


Got No Chill?

Someone decided that there needed to be a fire to warm people up. Maybe that would have been a good idea, if the person who had started the fire had anything clue about fire safety. They - or maybe you! - had started the fire in one of the classrooms using broken desks for kindling. But the fire quickly spread to the other desks in the room and with so much paper detritus in the halls! Stop the fire, warn people, run away! Pick you poison but do it fast, the way this fire's spreading, this school might not last!

Sephiroth starts too, mostly because this fellow looks a lot like Cloud. But he quickly sees this is someone else.

"Yes, I did," he says. He sees the interest in his wings and can't help a bit of a smirk. He is quite fond of them, even though he wonders a lot if he really still deserves to have them.

"I an Sephiroth. And you are?"

"Prompto, nice to meet ya Sephiroth. This place is called Auradon. It's uh," He scratches a hand through his hair, searching for the best words.

"Well, have you heard about other worlds?" He smiles somewhat apologetically. Quite a few of the people here seemed to have traveled between worlds before, maybe he was lucky and Sephiroph had as well? Would save him struggling through the explanation he himself still barely understood.

"I have," Sephiroth said. "I was quite fond of opening portals to travel between them until I arrived here not by choice and could not leave."

"Ahh... Yeah, as far as I understand it, there's some kind of magic barrier around this world, and no one with world hopping magic is able to use it. Sorry. I know there's a pamphlet that has more detailed info somewhere if you want?" He nods towards the school, wings ruffling with the action.

Well, that's inconvenient. Not to mention very concerning.

"Yes, I'd like that," he says.

He moves towards the school. "Have you been here long?"

Prompto moves with him, shrugging. His feathers bristle and then tuck in tight. "I dunno, couple weeks maybe? Haven't really kept track." He has, knows the exact number of days, but thinking about it sends his anxiety spiking, so he tries not to.

"Have you been to many worlds then?"

Sephiroth nods slowly, wondering how someone could not keep track of such an important thing but opting not to question it. The comment was dismissive enough that he suspects perhaps the opposite of what was said is true.

"Very many," he agrees. "My home is in Hollow Bastion, or Radiant Garden, if you will. I've largely stayed at home lately but had thought of perhaps traveling again, under my own terms. I hadn't planned on traveling on someone else's."

The image from the front of the newspaper comes to mind. Insomnia in flames. The road trip had certainly been more enjoyable when it was a wedding party trip and not fleeing from the Empire. He shakes that thought away with a grimace and a physical flick of his wings. "I get it. Hopefully we won't be stuck here for too long. The people are nice though."

He leads them towards the large front entrance as they're talking. "Was there anywhere in particular you were thinking of traveling to?"

"That is the best case scenario. But it's good to hear the company is pleasant in the meantime."

He ponders the question. "Olympus Coliseum, perhaps. I go there from time to time as one of the challengers." He has always been a fan favorite there.

"Can't say I'm all that familiar with world travelling. What's that world like? Going as a 'challenger' seems pretty intense."

Sephiroth nods. "It's not for the faint of heart. They have fighting tournaments there. The world tends to revolve around their interest in that."
