You aren't sure how you landed here, or even where here is. But here you are. Some new place. Or maybe... maybe it is familiar. Maybe not. So... where are you?

^AURADON

Welcome to Auradon! You have woken up in the perfectly manicured grass before a large castle. You're not the only one! if you follow the path to the Castle you'll discover it is the dorm for a large school attached at the back. Everything is amazing and elegant. There is a wing of rooms that are meant for girls, which are generally full of pink and white and sparkles and lace and frills. Very few of the doors are locked, but a lot of them are filled with personal belongings, like these were someone's rooms.

The rooms meant for boys are much the same, though they are more blue and green and flannel. But again, most of the doors are unlocked, even though the rooms look lived in.

On both sides, the rooms each have two beds, and two of everything.

The grounds themselves are well kept and neat with flowers and bushes and lots of places for sitting on the grass to enjoy the sun or share a picnic.

What is missing - in the dorms, on the grounds, in the perfectly clean classrooms are... people. The only people around are those who seem like you, newly arrived and confused.

And then, rushing right at you, are animals. Birds and rabbits and stray cats and dogs!

You are in a graveyard. an old poorly cared for graveyard littered with trash. Old crushed cups and molded fruit cores. The whole place had an air of neglects with weeds springing up around what at first seemed to be tomb stones...

But a closer look might make one question them. For these were not tomb stones at all. There were no graves and what was carved into them wasn't names of the dearly departed, but rather sayings exulting evil. Celebrating it. These my dears, were doom stones.

But if the graveyard wasn't a graveyard, then what was the mausoleum that lorded over it all? Going inside would reveal it to be one of the most depressing suffocating horror houses of all - a high school. A poorly kept high school with drafty classrooms, a basement that stunk of mold and chemicals, and trash and graffiti everywhere. Many lockers are dented from the inside out, like something had been trying to escape. But it was eerily quiet now.

Some doors are locked. Most are not. But everything is just in a state of disrepair. One door has a giant spider guarding it, but everything else seems... deserted. Like this school had been abandoned long ago. With even the lights flickering, the whole thing feels almost haunted.

But if you try to use any magic or powers to light the way you might just find the scariest thing of all...

She hesitated. Then, even knowing Morse would slap her across the face for this, she spoke. "Clothes. Not supposed to talk dressed like this," she mumbled into the ratty scarf covering the bottom of her face.

Sae'sha considered a long moment and then trailed off in a set of not profane and slightly ridiculous words thanks to that potatoed translator glitch.
"Look. If I let you borrow my coat, will you stop attacking me? We can look around this... whatever this place is? Maybe find something better we can steal for ya, huh?"

She hesitated then nodded. She pushed herself up and started unwinding the scarves from her face, then stopped. "What... what do you want?"

Sae'sha pulled off her coat and held it out to the girl. "As I said. I'm lost. You got any idea where this is little Thrai?"

"What's a Thrai?" she asked as she peeled off the rest of the face coverings and took the coat. she wrapped the scarves around her waist like floppy belts. She wasn't going to risk losing them.

"It's an animal from," Sae'sha paled and stumbled over her words, unable to say it, almost breaking down and then getting angry all over again. "From a place I've been. They're vicious in a fight, persistent too. Maybe that's not you, dunno, but it's the only bit of you I've seen yet so." She shrugged.

She winced a bit, recognizing that stumble. She made it all the time. Ever since...

"Morse says you have to fight for what you want..."

That was a very cleaned up version of what Morse said, anyway. As much as Elianne liked cursing, she understood that Morse didn't always like it when someone else did the cursing for her.

Morse didn't like a lot of things.

Sæ'sha shrugged. "Maybe I'm just lazy. But best thing I ever got I got from a card game, not fighting."

Now that... stunned her. She'd been so mad at H'Naal lately, so mad at herself for joining up with him. But she still... saw being on his crew as the best thing she'd ever gotten.

She made a rude snort. "I bet lots, but I mostly lose." She shrugged.

"Eh you don't bet, you play the people you're playing cards with. Do it right and you get something you want either way."

"..... How....?"

She inched slightly closer, hugging the jacket tight over herself.

"Mmm. Not sure I can even explain. Mostly you gotta watch them play others first? It takes longer than just attacking, but it's also less likely to get you hurt. Now wanna help me look around? There's a building just right there. Could be there's something interesting inside. Maybe some answers at least."

She shrugged and moved a bit closer. "If it belongs to the fieflord, maybe we shouldn't... but..." she glanced at the sky. "Hopes. Ocean walls. Let's take the ocean wall risk. Better than..." she stopped. "What the hopes did I just say?" she was confused and horrified.

Sæ'sha blinked, stunned. "Wait. You mean it's not my atlai translator? What the forest?"

"What the hopes is a forest?"

"For starters not what I'm trying to potato well say." She scowled and started to head in the building. Which a storage facility of some kind, maybe? What with all the lockers she was at a lost what else it could be.

"Helpful," she muttered under her breath, slinking in after her. She looked around, confused. She went to one of the lockers, considered it, then folded herself into it and pulled it closed, closing herself in. Except for the bottom of the too big on her coat.

Sæ'sha gave pause at that, stunned but also.. fighting back a snicker. "Y'know Thrai, not sure those are for people even if you do fit. But y'know, if you're comfortable, knock yourself out I guess."

She sook her head and let herself back out. "I don't know if ferals can open it. But if they can't, we can sleep in those little rooms."

"Can't say I'm familiar with ferals. Can say there's no way in forest I could fit in one of those."

Once upon a time, Severn would have said that making Eli speechless was impossible.

Congratulations, Sae, on doing the impossible. The small starved girl was staring at Sae like she was too stupid to live.

Eli's face was an open book. Too stupid to live were almost exactly the words she had thought.

Sæ'sha snorted at that. "Remember how I said in lost. Not sure what this place is, but I definitely don't know it. If there's something dangerous, it looks like there are doors down some of the halls. Even if they don't lock, there's always barricading them."

"We.... could..." but she sounded suspicious now and even more wary than she had been.

Sæ'sha caught that suspicion and rolled her eyes. "Look you wanna sleep in there. Have at it. But. I want my coat back before we part ways. Huh? My captain gave it to me."

"How the actual hopes are you alive, lady?" she asked, finally.
