Missrecalled TDM 1
You aren't sure how you landed here, or even where here is. But here you are. Some new place. Or maybe... maybe it is familiar. Maybe not. So... where are you?
AURADON
Welcome to Auradon! You have woken up in the perfectly manicured grass before a large castle. You're not the only one! if you follow the path to the Castle you'll discover it is the dorm for a large school attached at the back. Everything is amazing and elegant. There is a wing of rooms that are meant for girls, which are generally full of pink and white and sparkles and lace and frills. Very few of the doors are locked, but a lot of them are filled with personal belongings, like these were someone's rooms.
The rooms meant for boys are much the same, though they are more blue and green and flannel. But again, most of the doors are unlocked, even though the rooms look lived in.
On both sides, the rooms each have two beds, and two of everything.
The grounds themselves are well kept and neat with flowers and bushes and lots of places for sitting on the grass to enjoy the sun or share a picnic.
What is missing - in the dorms, on the grounds, in the perfectly clean classrooms are... people. The only people around are those who seem like you, newly arrived and confused.
And then, rushing right at you, are animals. Birds and rabbits and stray cats and dogs!
The Isle
You are in a graveyard. an old poorly cared for graveyard littered with trash. Old crushed cups and molded fruit cores. The whole place had an air of neglects with weeds springing up around what at first seemed to be tomb stones...
But a closer look might make one question them. For these were not tomb stones at all. There were no graves and what was carved into them wasn't names of the dearly departed, but rather sayings exulting evil. Celebrating it. These my dears, were doom stones.
But if the graveyard wasn't a graveyard, then what was the mausoleum that lorded over it all? Going inside would reveal it to be one of the most depressing suffocating horror houses of all - a high school. A poorly kept high school with drafty classrooms, a basement that stunk of mold and chemicals, and trash and graffiti everywhere. Many lockers are dented from the inside out, like something had been trying to escape. But it was eerily quiet now.
Some doors are locked. Most are not. But everything is just in a state of disrepair. One door has a giant spider guarding it, but everything else seems... deserted. Like this school had been abandoned long ago. With even the lights flickering, the whole thing feels almost haunted.
But if you try to use any magic or powers to light the way you might just find the scariest thing of all...
NO MAGIC WORKS HERE!

As the man moved along the hall of the boys rooms, there was the steady sound of footfalls and a tap - his umbrella's tip against the flooring. This certianly isn't the Circus, Mansion Lefèvre, or his own quint little London townhouse. It's entirely too vast and that was saying something given the nature of the Mansion and the Circus. He paused taking that bowler hat off and raking his fingers through his messy black hair. There doesn't seem to be anyone here. It reminded him of how the Circus looked before nightfall. Before the magic took hold and when everyone was at rest - the tents were all still there but closed, the ground occasionally littered but seemingly devoid of life.
"Right..."
He put his hat back on before reaching inside to the innermost breast pocket of his neatly pressed suit. From the depths of his pocket he pulled out a book small book that grew insize until it was normal again and Marco slipped it open. Pages and pages of tree branches, briars, and thorns around names, photos, sketches, various odds and ends - as he flips his confused look morphs into a frown the only deepens as he gets closer to the pristinely blank cream colored pages.
Reaching them he hisses out a soft breath, "What on Earth has happened?" If it wasn't his magic or Celia's could it be Mr. —? No. This didn't seem like his either. He tucked te book back into his pocket shrinking it down once more then idly tugged at a slightly ink-stained sleeve.

At his question she visibly gave herself a shake. "Long story. The king is going to give a speech tonight to explain things to those who are showing up."

"This place - there's a lot of magic here." He could feel the faintest straces of it lingering. Not sharp like it was newly used or cast but still there faded like centuries old ink. "Is that common or is it a recent development?"

"Oh that's bloody brilliant," He muttered sarcasticly as shook his head before rolling his eyes. "So that magic is flaring up and bringing people here." He sighed for a moment before offering his hand out to her. "Forgive my manners, Marco Alisdair. I know a fair bit about magic."

She missed Evie, even if she knew her best friend would not be happy to see Mal leaning on her magic so much again.

"I've seen what they teach on the Isle, the other side of those same stories. The chances of getting teachers on either side to teach a more balanced version is... not likely to ever happen. Then again, no one ever thought that a bunch of kids from the Isle could survive school in Auradon, or that Auradon could survive us... so who knows," she said with a hint of a smile.
"So." She opened a classroom door and was about to walk through then stopped and realized what she should do. She shifted to one side to hold it for him. She told herself that holding a door for someone was also a safety thing, because it kept him from her back but... he had been walking there this whole time.
She kept having reminders of how much she had changed. When had she gotten so much less paranoid? Something else to think about later.
