Missrecalled TDM 1

You aren't sure how you landed here, or even where here is. But here you are. Some new place. Or maybe... maybe it is familiar. Maybe not. So... where are you?

AURADON

Welcome to Auradon! You have woken up in the perfectly manicured grass before a large castle. You're not the only one! if you follow the path to the Castle you'll discover it is the dorm for a large school attached at the back. Everything is amazing and elegant. There is a wing of rooms that are meant for girls, which are generally full of pink and white and sparkles and lace and frills. Very few of the doors are locked, but a lot of them are filled with personal belongings, like these were someone's rooms.

The rooms meant for boys are much the same, though they are more blue and green and flannel. But again, most of the doors are unlocked, even though the rooms look lived in.

On both sides, the rooms each have two beds, and two of everything.

The grounds themselves are well kept and neat with flowers and bushes and lots of places for sitting on the grass to enjoy the sun or share a picnic.

What is missing - in the dorms, on the grounds, in the perfectly clean classrooms are... people. The only people around are those who seem like you, newly arrived and confused.

And then, rushing right at you, are animals. Birds and rabbits and stray cats and dogs!

The Isle

You are in a graveyard. an old poorly cared for graveyard littered with trash. Old crushed cups and molded fruit cores. The whole place had an air of neglects with weeds springing up around what at first seemed to be tomb stones...

But a closer look might make one question them. For these were not tomb stones at all. There were no graves and what was carved into them wasn't names of the dearly departed, but rather sayings exulting evil. Celebrating it. These my dears, were doom stones.

But if the graveyard wasn't a graveyard, then what was the mausoleum that lorded over it all? Going inside would reveal it to be one of the most depressing suffocating horror houses of all - a high school. A poorly kept high school with drafty classrooms, a basement that stunk of mold and chemicals, and trash and graffiti everywhere. Many lockers are dented from the inside out, like something had been trying to escape. But it was eerily quiet now.

Some doors are locked. Most are not. But everything is just in a state of disrepair. One door has a giant spider guarding it, but everything else seems... deserted. Like this school had been abandoned long ago. With even the lights flickering, the whole thing feels almost haunted.

But if you try to use any magic or powers to light the way you might just find the scariest thing of all...

NO MAGIC WORKS HERE!

Welcome to the Isle of the Lost, explore if you dare....

Too quiet... for a prison?

Cadeyrn raises an eyebrow curiously at his companion's gentle comment, a small measure of confusion worming its way through his thoughts as he observes the teen. He's too young. He's too young, but Cadeyrn can't ignore his words either. He shelves his suspicion as best he can for the moment-- he shouldn't prod and whatever the case may be, he'll get to ask, but not now.

He nods, his lips quirking up in a small, soft smile to encourage the teen, as he slowly gets back to his feet, making sure he doesn't startle his young companion too badly. Every gesture is deliberate, every movement conscious that he might be scaring him-- but the blond doesn't seem as flighty as he'd first expected. He still doesn't want to risk scaring him.

"Good. I'll lead the way?" He offers, and starts to do just that.

[OOC: Cutting off here so you can have a chance to answer before I do a scene change to the classroom?]

Fortunately he doesn't catch the raised brow- otherwise he might have realized he just said something...well. Weird.

Very weird. He still draws back somewhat- just a little bit- but he does ultimately move to follow as he nods.

(Following means the other stays in front. Following means he can potentially run if he has to. And...)

The boy swallows. "...Alright."

... (He wants...to believe that it's alright. It has to be alright. Something has to be alright.)

The mausoleum sprawls across the grounds, its main doors an ominous pitch-black. There are few windows to the building, and the stone that forms it is thick, and scarred with cracks. Cadeyrn has to push it with a heavy shoulder just to get the doors to creak their reluctance as they open. The flickering lights still bother his eyes, so he guides his young companion with a quick pace to get away from them.

The hallways all look alike, rotting veins in the large stone behemoth of a school that stinks of decay. He still has to linger at unpleasant corners, searching his mental map on occasion as he makes sure to bring them both back to the classroom he'd begun tending to. He also checks to make sure his smaller companion doesn't get lost, and the short walk has him prod lightly to know more.

"I'm Cadeyrn, by the way. What's your name?" It's not much, but 'hey, you's are going to get on his nerves real quick if he cannot recognize everyone in these hallways. Part to stay safe, and part to keep them safe-- identity and surface knowledge is going to be necessary. Even his own.

He has never seen a building so artfully ominous, save in stolen glances at a television. It's almost strange- it feels like something one part from a history book, another from a stage play, and still another from sheer patchwork. There is a part of him that wonders just what could once have been here-

It's impossible for him to tell however, even if the thought doesn't fade while they wander the halls. "Uh-" Names. Right, names. "E...Emporio," he answers, swallowing somewhat nervously.

"S...so..." ...So. Cadeyrn had to be Told this was a school. They're wandering now, just to figure out where they are. Then...that means...

"...How did you get here..?" he can't help but ask, pulling his tattered coat a little more around himself. He knows how he himself got here. ...Probably. He thinks. But then what about anyone else who just...Fell?

Silver eyes glance briefly at his companion. He hadn't expected the question, but he's rather encouraged to see that the teenager isn't too scared to speak up. That's a good thing. There's a quick rasp of thumb against middle and forefinger, a quick habit that he can't tend to right now.

"I... don't think 'waking up' is accurate, but it's the closest that I can think. Or rather, I was home one moment and here the next, between two blinks." That is the only thing he can recall. Of course, he'd want to know what happened-- eliminate the danger from his world if he can. But he has other priorities to tend to right now. The lack of answers still nags at him in the back of his head though.

"I think it would have been the same for you?" he prods lightly, but he doesn't quite need the answer he already expects. His best bet on the matter is the teachers he's briefly seen in handful of moments.

They finally come to a stop, in an area where the stench is, as best it can be, controlled and kept at bay. This door is easier, parting with an easy click, and though it's some ways away from the main entrance, it becomes clear why he'd gone out of his way when they enter it.

Relatively-- and in large comparison to the rest of the school-- this area is clean. No broken shards of glass, no questionable stains on the ceiling tiles. The floor is clean, the only clutter left at the corner being a bunch of desks, which are slowly getting dismantled. Wood kept nearby, whether for a project or to burn, is uncertain. All around the room, a counter is set at a slightly awkward height for the young boy, but they are clear of debris, as are the shelves overhead. Metallic sinks are dotted along the counters, hinting to the lab class that this might have once been.

"Here." Cadeyrn waves the blond in, letting him explore at his own leisure. "Feel free to take up a spot. It's not the most comfortable to share with everyone, but it keeps us safe, and you'll sleep better in a clean area."

Nevermind avoiding infection. Dead gods, but Cadeyrn does not want to touch even half the things in this broken, stinking establishment.

It's a paradoxic matter. Emporio needs to remain out of sight- he's dedicated to it, slipping about where possible.

But he has no experience, or at least very little experience, in conversation as a result. Which in turn means that, when he does start talking...

"One moment to another..." So the boy repeats, swallowing back his immediate thoughts. "...It felt almost like falling for a minute...but I didn't expect to see all of this..."

...it's hard for him to stop.

"...wow..." And to that end, as he cautiously steps in, he can't stop looking around with wide eyes. "You...did you clean all of this? Even the ceiling looks better in here..."
