Darkstalker could tell that he'd startled her to which he derived some pleasure, since there hadn't been much else to entertain himself with thus far. For some reason he was cut off from using his more.. supernatural powers, including the telepathic ones and the latter was more unsettling than he wanted to admit. Sure, he could tune everyone's thoughts out when he wished, but this hadn't been his doing. The absence of chatter was terribly isolating and it reminded him of the time he'd spent trapped inside a mountain- something he did not in fact want to relive.

"Salutations to you as well.." He trailed off thoughtfully before looping one of his talons through the air. "I can think of something that would be more filling than scrolls as it is." Meaning, well- her. Eh, but then he would be completely alone again. Scavengers had never been all that alluring to him as foodstuffs anyway. Any true seer would be apprehensive since they could sense the complex emotions keenly of the diminutive creatures. Still, he had to make the joke. "Trust me, I don't need a library explained to me. The Night Kingdom had the most extensive collection in all of Pyrrhia." Finding the way she phrased that borderline insulting. "Still does, really.. though many of the scrolls require careful handling and restoration."
