Mal stared at her for a moment, then all the stiffness and nerves seemed to melt away. The smile left behind was wry and amused, but also very very real and genuine. "I know a thing or two about that," she admitted. "Ran away once, sure I was in the wrong place, that I didn't belong, could never fit in. Wound up crashing my vespa into a wall in a very different sort of kingdom than the one I'd left. Got called upon to be a hero when I was more sure than ever that I was a villian at heart."
