Many incidents come to mind, most of them his parents' fault.

He shrugs.

"I'm fine. At least I didn't get trampled."

And he'd still rather keep his reaction time and have the occasional false alarm then to be caught unaware the next time something jumped out of nowhere and tried to destroy him. It was a distressingly common situation in his life.
