With the animals at least somewhat calmed, Enki stood as the stranger approached. He registered the cool tone, but he was Rihanh, that was normal. He cupped his hands and gave a small half bow over them. “Jolan’tru. I am En—“ he trailed off as he registered her appearance.
His eyes narrowed slightly and he straightened, stance shifting to one ready to fight or run if needed. She was clearly not Rihanh. So how was it she looked like she could be related to him? It reeked of a trap to him. Sure the Universe could just have a sense of humor. But if this wasn’t an illusion to extract information or just get into his head, well, he’d thank the Elements later. But for now? Caution.
“Who are you?” As soft as his voice had been with the animals, it had a sharp edge now, enough so that while those he’d calmed didn’t panic, they did clear away from him. Quickly.
