Oui Sports - Winter Edition

Sports are a great way to warm up on a cold day, but sadly all the outdoor sports Ben was ready to teach... Well none of them play so well in a foot plus of snow. And that foot plus was after getting help from those with magic who could melt some of it down for them. And when Mal was asked about winter sports on the Isle the answer was "It's more like... gang activity, than sports. And if someone broke their leg, we kinda laughed, so... Not really applicable here."

So they instead asked the Missrecalled to show off games and sports that can be played in deep snow. But the best games need more than one person, so maybe you need to find someone to play with?

Happy Little Cleaning Song

After so long with so many people all cramped into the school for so long that there was more than a little bit of mess. They could use a hand clearing everything up. Whistling while you work and a spoonful of sugar were both advised. But cleaning was always a better task with a buddy! And Team Work Makes The Dream Work, right?

The Isle

Gang Activities

What had once been a dank and dreary school in a mausoleum was now an icy dreary one. The ground outside was a mix of ice, muddy slush, and rocks. Neither fun nor pretty. But it was probably safer outside than in, and easier to be active dodging doomstones than skidding down the halls into broken lockers. But it was still frigid out. Perhaps some activity would help warm you up. But what? And whom with? Snowball fights might be a little extra dangerous, with all the muck mixed in and no place to go warm up. But maybe someone might be up for it anyway? Or stealing a doomstone to sled down the roof? What are you gonna do to stay warm?

Got No Chill?

Someone decided that there needed to be a fire to warm people up. Maybe that would have been a good idea, if the person who had started the fire had anything clue about fire safety. They - or maybe you! - had started the fire in one of the classrooms using broken desks for kindling. But the fire quickly spread to the other desks in the room and with so much paper detritus in the halls! Stop the fire, warn people, run away! Pick you poison but do it fast, the way this fire's spreading, this school might not last!

"There... are lots of worlds... the Keyblade has been to." Thanks to her and Roxas.

"Perhaps universe would be a better word," Sephiroth conceded. "Or dimension. I've been to places that know nothing of Keyblades."

She shook her head, trying to back off.

"Why are you so afraid?" Sephiroth finally asked.

"Wh...why d...do you want to ke... keep talking t...to me?"

"Because I suddenly ended up pulled from my home into this place and I want to know why," Sephiroth replied. And he had rather hoped to make allies of anyone from his home universe.

"I didn't do it!" she said, panicked.

"I didn't think you had," Sephiroth retorted. "But I thought you might know what's going on, or that you might be able to tell me who to talk to in order to find out."

"A....Axel... Axel knows..."

Finally, a name.

"Is he here?" Sephiroth glanced around at the others present.

She hesitated then nodded. If he was an enemy she and Axel and Roxas together could take him, right?

"Which one is he?" Sephiroth asked. He studied her, trying to determine if she seemed to be looking at any particular person.

"He.... he's pr...probably inside..."

"I see. Will you take me there and point him out to me?" Sephiroth asked.

Her shoulders hunched in as she realized she didn't really have a choice. She gave a small nod.

Sephiroth gave a slight nod of acknowledgement and appreciation. "Thank you." He started towards the building.

She hunched in more as she walked with him. She wanted to melt in behind, where she usually walked when she walked with someone. But she was afraid he'd grab her and haul her forward if she did. So she led, hoping he wouldn't try to talk to her any more.

Or attack her.

Sephiroth had pretty much given up trying to talk with her. He wouldn't have hauled her forward, but he appreciated her walking in front. He looked around as they reached the building, wondering which one Axel was.

She got into the school, wishing the door would close between them and let her escape. But at least she spotted Axel just inside. She ran over to him and ducked behind. Let him talk to the weird somebody.

"Hello," Sephiroth greeted. "You're Axel?"

Lea had been debating whether to go outside. On one hand sports and general revelry. Always a good time. On the other, extra deep snow. Not such a good time when one generally projected some heat around themselves in winter situations.

He was about to greet Xion when she noticed that someone was following her. Someone with... three wings and silver hair? The hair brought to mind Xehanort, but no version of Xehanort that he'd seen during Sora's rescue had wings. And he seriously doubted whether any version of Xehanort ever looked quite that cool. Even when possessing otherwise cool people; he just made them less cool by association. Besides, the guy's eyes were the wrong color.

He sighed slightly as Xion hid behind him. It looked like he'd been volunteered for a conversation she didn't want to have. Again. Though at least this time it was forgivable, as the guy was on the intimidating side. "That's me," he said as the man greeted him. "You that's mostly just what some of my friends call me these days. My real name's Lea. I'm guessing that you just arrived?"

Sephiroth nodded slightly. Lea. He would remember that. It was refreshing to find someone willing to talk, but he wouldn't say that aloud. Lea seemed a reasonable sort so far. He didn't recognize either name, but he wondered if his would be recognized. Many knew of him even if they hadn't met him. He had once been renowned as a hero. More recently, he was probably more known for shadowing Cloud Strife and having bizarre exchanges with him about the darkness.

"Yes, I did," he said. "I'm trying to find out what's going on." And not having a great deal of luck so far.

"Well I can help you out with that one at least," he said. "There's FAQ sheets printed out in the lobby. Normally that's the main entrance, but it probably won't be again until some of the snow melts. Anyway, I'll show you where it is."

He gestured for the man to follow him, then glanced at Xion. "You can come too if you want, Xion," he said. He suspected she hadn't introduced herself, even if she had introduced him, apparently, so at least now the guy would know her name.

"Thank you," Sephiroth said.

He glanced back at Xion. Interesting name.

"I am Sephiroth," he said at last as they walked. "I'm from Hollow Bastion."

Sephiroth was an interesting name too, but what really grabbed his attention was where he said he was from. "'Hollow Bastion', huh?", Lea said. "I don't suppose you knew it by another name before it was called that?"
