It was a nice hug, at least. She was soft, her dress was soft and her cape was more of the same... he could easily bury himself against her if he felt like it. Arms around him, one of them rubbed lightly over his back.
Should he peek up... it wasn't a teenager, as she'd come downstairs, but an adult lady with her hair up behind her head that was cradling him so gently. She didn't say anything, simply gave him a soft, knowing sort of not-a-smile. Some things were simply universal, unfortunately....
