"Well... this is something of a community building, at the moment. And a castle. And these are shops...." She tilted her map up more toward her, to show her as she pointed to those things. "All together, it's called Auradon. And the mess surrounding it is everything from brooms to wheeled things, to wind chimes, and even trees that were uprooted." She gestured again with one hand, and held up what looked like it should've been a mirror, but instead gave a view of the barrier through it. She hadn't needed to chant anything to this apparent magic mirror first, or ask it for favors in rhyme, before it would show them what she wanted it to... honestly, if she'd been more used to having it, she might have thought to try pulling up a photo on her phone. If she'd believed for a moment that she'd ever taken a photo with it, that is. Of the barrier. Or... anything, honestly.
Oh well, the looking-glass was bigger than the phone screen anyway, and easier to see because of that.
