Upon giving the little sheep a scratch he would find it to be just as soft and fluffy as it looked. And for some reason petting the little sheep, even briefly, would make him feel a bit more relaxed, instilling the vague sensation that everything would be OK.

Taking the option that seemed the most logical under the circumstances, he reached out and took hold of the beam of light, intending to haul himself up, only to find it unnecessary. The moment he had a grip on it, the beam whisked him upward like a reverse zip-line, then, as it reached the top popped him up like a toaster to have him land neatly on the ledge.
He stepped aside a bit to give his companion room to land, then looked around. "Not bad<' he commented. "Though now I kinda want to look into installing a zipline down from the roof of the school." Would Ben approve? Probably not. Would it be awesome enough to do it anyway? Absolutely.
