This is getting to be more clear that perhaps he had the belief to pursuit his goals back in his world and in Avalon in spite of the hardships he had gone through. Nothing, not even the harshest of scenarios, wasn’t able to break him that easily. It just so happens that he didn’t expect it to play a big part in life until now.
