Was this a dreamer? Or part of someone else's dream that had escaped? Hard to tell. Whatever it was, it didn't look much like a person. Not that it was easy to see. The creature was constantly on the move, diving into flower patches and bushes and the boles of trees that seem to come into existence just to give the creature a place to explore, and when they vanished the creature was gone as well.

What little glimpses people could get of it varied. Sometimes it looked like a rabbit in a deerstalker cap and a flowered pinafore. Sometimes it was more like a white powdery ghost that puffed out powder all over everything and had small squares of paper for eyes. Sometimes it looked like multihued liquid moving in clumps and trailing a slight floral scent.

The only reason one might think this all the same creature - maybe - was that every form of it had a single thing in common. It was always upside down and running on the air as if it were the ground.
