Cal did his best to hide a grin. He failed utterly. He'd wanted to destroy at least one of the stones out of irritation earlier. Now, between having a partner and her pointing out that it would piss off the people in charge without hurting anyone? Yeah. He was having fun. His Master still would have been disappointed, but Cere wouldn't have been, and right now that mattered a lot more to him.
